The Assistant Controller contributes to the overall responsibility for financial accounting, compliance, and reporting for the Fund to help achieve strategic business goals. The position is expected to assist the Comptroller with all day-to-day functions of the accounting department’s operations including, but not limited to financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance and reconciliation, accounts payable processing, cash management and reconciliation, payroll processing, investment administration, regulatory filings, and 401k administration. The Assistant Controller is also expected to assist the Comptroller in the supervision and training of staff as well as ensuring all accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and Fund guidelines and procedures. The Assistant Controller must be a hands-on, detail-oriented team player who can work to meet hard deadlines imposed by internal and external parties.

- At least 8 years’ experience in account is required
- At least 3 years’ supervisory experience is required
- Experience with Sage Inatacct or similar accounting software is desirable
- Experience with AP Automation is desirable
- Experience with Taft Hartley and ERISA plans preferred
CPA or CMA preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field is required (Masters Degree Preferred)
Approximately 80% of the day is spent using the computer. Working environment is the typical office atmosphere with work conducted at an open workstation. Lifting of light boxes may be required in the course of organizing and distributing work in the office.
